Probability of the Super 11 Lottery (Super Once)

Every time a new lottery comes out, it is always sold as an easy lottery and for very little money you can become an instant millionaire. To do this, let's apply mathematics and see how many combinations of 20 different numbers exist among the 85 possible ones. We apply the combinatorial formula and we have:

Formula. C(n,r) = n! / (r!(n-r)!)
C(85,20) = 85! / (20!(85! - 20!))
= 85! / 20! x 65! = 14039383165867025505

As you can see there are a lot of combinations. Now let's see the possible combinations that would make us win, if we match the eleven numbers of the 20 that come out.

C(20,11) = 20! / (11!(20 - 11)!)
= 20! / 11! x 9! = 167960

Having these two data, we only have to divide the combinations that favor us between the possible combinations:

167960 / 14039383165867025505 = 0.00000000000001196

This is the probability of winning a column of 11 correct numbers in the Super 11. Let's compare it with another type of lottery, such as La Primitiva, Bonoloto or 7/39.

To win in La Primitiva or Bonoloto, the system is the same, you have to match 6 numbers out of 49 possible, that is,

C(49,6) = 49! / (6!(49 - 6)!)
= 49! / 6! x 43! = 13983816

Now we calculate, the probability of getting a hit among the possible combinations:

We can see that any other lottery game has a much higher probability of a full hit than the Super 11 (Super Once) game. Incredible, isn't it?

How can this be? A game that seems so easy, is the most difficult of all!!!! So, what makes it so attractive and addictive? Quite simply, the possibility of choosing from 5 to 11 numbers among the 20 that come out, which makes it possible to apply different strategies that other games do not support.

In 2016, we started in the construction of a computer program to play Super 11 (Super Once) based on output patterns of the numbers that formed the Winning Combination and applying filters that would guarantee us possible prizes. Once we verified that this was happening very often, in May 2017 we decided to open the Super Once Club and we kept publishing the results obtained. Since then, we have had ups and downs in the results because the filters that we applied and that worked in a certain period of time, stopped working some time later and this forced us to apply new filters and new strategies.

The strategy we used was carried out with a computer program, which based on the previous draws, divided the numbers from 1 to 80 in four groups of which, one was discarded since it was usually the one with the least numbers, and another 22 were discarded, which were always the same and had little relevance in the output of the Winning Combination. In this way, the program eliminated approximately 35 numbers out of the 80 numbers, whose average daily output ranged between 6 or 7 numbers.

Then, since there were about 45 numbers left, and an average of 13 numbers to be drawn, the program divided them into another 24 sections, of which 18 or 19 were usually chosen, discarding about 5 sections daily. In this way, if we had 13 numbers left on average, what we needed, and here luck plays a role, was that in those sections that we discarded, few numbers came out, and so far, it has not been bad at all, since we have guessed right in most of the days, about 10 numbers on average.

At this point, is when the real problem comes and that we have not yet been able to solve, because although we catch 10 numbers, we need to make 3 columns of 11 numbers, and that is where we can not find a good strategy to combine them and get a prize most days.

Of all the strategies used, this is the best strategy we have found, not to get a prize often which is what we get with other strategies, but with a real chance to get a good prize every day, as we are able to hit many numbers in most of the draws, although we need a little luck to get the Winning Combination. We started to apply this strategy at the end of November and in this period of time we have been winning prizes of 8, 7, 6, 5 and 0 hits.
